The Virginia DMV has reviewed and Approved this online clinic. If the DMV requires you to take a Driver Improvement Clinic or you are voluntarily seeking positive points, you are eligible. Your court may or may not accept the certificate of completion. It is your responsibility to determine if your court accepts online driver improvement clinics.

How do I know if I am eligible to take this online Driver’s Education Course?

You must be at least 15 years and six months old to take the online driver education course. All individuals who elect to take the classroom component of the driver’s education course online must take the online course through a DMV licensed online driver training school. In order to benefit from the course, you must be able to work independently and be comfortable with using a computer.

Why take an online Driver’s Manual (Three Times Failure) Course?

You are required to take this course because you have failed the learner’s permit or renewal test three times, and you are now required by the DMV to take this 8-hour course to be eligible to retake the test.

How do I know if I am eligible to take this online Driver’s Manual (Three Times Failure) Course?

  • The Virginia DMV has reviewed and Licensed this online course – and all ages are eligible. However, please be aware of the following:
    1. If you are under age 18 – Before enrolling into the Driver’s Manual course, you must provide proof of having completed the classroom component of driver education (36 fifty-minute classroom sessions or a 30-hour online course). If you wish to take this online 8-hour Driver’s Manual Course, please email us your proof of completion of your classroom drivers education course (DTS 36 or DEC-1) to tkdrivertrainingschoolllc@gmail.com.     2. If you are age 18 or older – You must either take the classroom component of driver education (consisting of 36 fifty-minute classroom sessions) or complete an 8-Hour Driver’s Manual course in the classroom or online.

    When do I get my Certificate of Completion?

  • For Driver Improvement or the Three Times Failure Course – Once you have successfully completed either of the online courses by passing the final exam online, we will email you a course completion certificate. Your certificate will be emailed to you after being fully processed usually within 24 to 48 hours from the date of your course completion (and payment).
  • For Driver’s Education – You will receive your Certificate of Completion after you have passed your final exam, which you must take in-person at one of our locations. The “Test Areas” link is in the menu section of our online course. You will be permitted to take the final exam after we have checked your identification and verified that you have completed the 13 sessions online. When you pass the exam, you can continue with the behind-the-wheel portion of the course or our instructor will issue your certificate to you if you request to transfer. If you fail the exam, you will be allowed to review any session of the completed course to prepare to take the test again. Prior to registering for the course, verify that our school has a location located in your area.
  • How much does the course cost and how do I pay for it?

    The cost of our courses are as follows:

    • The driver improvement course is $95.
    • The driver’s education course is $225.
    • The driver’s manual (three times failure) course is $175.
    You can pay for the course by clicking on our ‘Courses’ menu. We accept Square or Credit/Debit only. After payment, the link to the online course will be displayed on your payment confirmation page and it will also be included in your payment confirmation email. Copy and paste the link into your Internet address bar to navigate to the online course.

    Do I need any special computer system requirements or downloads to take the online courses?

    There are NO special system requirements or downloads necessary to take this online course. However, please make a note of the following:

    • You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your computer to view/print your driver improvement or three times failure completion certificate. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is FREE and can be downloaded by going to Download Adobe Reader
    • You will need to have JavaScript enabled on your Internet browser to view some of the features in the course. If you don’t know what this means, don’t worry!! Most modern browsers (like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) are JavaScript enabled already by default. So unless you have manually disabled JavaScript yourself, you will be fine.
    How do I register for the online courses?
    1. After payment, the link to the online course will be displayed on your payment confirmation page and it will also be included in your payment confirmation email. Copy and paste the link into your Internet address bar to navigate to the online course. Once at the homepage of your online course, simply click on the “Sign Up” button or on the “Sign Up (New?)” link in the menu section.
    2. Select your course.
    3. Fill out the registration form.
    4. Review the information and click on the “register” button.
    5. After registering for the online course, you will be sent another email (that you should save until you are finished the program) with the direct link back to the online course – which you will click (or copy and paste) whenever you want to return to your online sessions. Check your spam/junk folder if you do not see it in your inbox.
    6. The list of sessions will appear. Click on the “start course” button to start reading the course right away or whenever you want!
    Do I need to use the same computer or device to complete the online courses?

    No; you can log-in, re-enter, and take the course using any type of device with any type of Internet connection.

    If I am already registered and have exited after completing only some of the sessions, how do I re-enter the online course?

    Return to the homepage of your online course by clicking the link in your email, and then click the ‘Log In’ button (under “Returning Student?”) or you can click the ‘Log In (Returning?)’ link in the menu section. Then you will just enter your First Name, Last Name, and Birthday and click the “Login” button to resume the course. Don’t worry, our student progress monitoring feature will allow to pick up exactly where you left off.

    What happens if i fail the final exam?

    If you fail the exam, you will be allowed to review any session of the completed course to get yourself ready to take the test again. But don’t worry… the course prepares you for the final and you will do great the first time!
